Hi all,
I have thought of a few feature requests over the last few weeks. Sorry for the splurge!
FR1: Add a 'Library Data' button to the 'Patch, Fixtures' display, so that this can be accessed here, as well as in about. This also has the advantage of being able to see library data for fixtures before they are patched in the show.
FR2: In the 'Patch, Fixtures' display, add a 'view' button, in the place of the 'edit' button for ETC built profiles, so they can be looked at to see if they are the one you want for your fixture - currently you have to copy the profile and look at the copy, to see the internal details of what it contains.
FR3: [Shift] + [Flexi] should move backwards through the flexi states.
FR4: When 'recalling from' a Generic fixture, which has 'Gel' defined in patch, to a colour mixing fixture, the colour should also be recalled, as well as the intensity.
FR5: Add a 'Sub Grand Master' fader type. This would master submasters only. I used this every so often on the Expression, when semi-busking a show.
FR6: CIA parameter buttons in a tab. They're about the only thing that isn't available in a tab yet! And pretty much the only reason I keep the CIA locked open. They're super useful, but might live better elsewhere is certain work flows.
FR7: Add Focus Paths, to compliment colour paths. The one that comes to mind is to draw a straight line on the pan/tilt graph, rather than panning round between positions with the same tilt value. In fact this would have been useful this week - I had a unit swing round the set, rather than go straight to where it was needed - I did my best with discrete delays & times on the pan, but not really close to what a path would achieve.
FR8: Colour Paths: Add the option to automatically follow intensity times for colour path times. Particularly on the gel path, this would help to make them act much more like two incandescent units mixing colour on a split time cue.
FR9: Colour Paths: Display colour fade times in seconds, as well as percent, working from the associated cue times.
FR10: Colour Paths: Add the ability to set discrete colour fade times from the command line; maybe "<Chan 11> [Path] [Time] 5 / 7 [Delay] / 2 [Enter]"
FR11: Multiple Intensity Marking: Add the ability for fixtures to Mark based on all intensity parameters. This does need the relationship between these parameters to be know; e.g. a Mac TW1 has Intens & IntensM, which are in line with each other, and so the fixture can mark when either is at 0, but other fixtures would require all intensity parameters to be at 0, and I suspect some will need a mixture of the two. In the first case (either at 0), it would need to be possible to select which intensity is to be marked, and which to be used to fade in on cue. I suggest a system of tiers, with all the intensities on a single tier required to be at 0, and at least one tier to be at 0 for a fixture to mark. (So the TW1 would have Intens on Tier 1 and IntensM on Tier 2, whilst a multicell fixture would have all it's Intens, Intens1, Intens2, etc. on Tier 1.)
Many thanks,
Joe
