Step-based Effect(s) with color change?

Hi there,

I searched on "effects" in the forum and there are many questions and solutions but I found nothing that helps with my problem.

I have channels 81>85 (LED cyclos) and want them to behave like fireworks.

The idea is to have a step-based effect like this:

1: 81 + 82 red

2: 83 + 84 green

3: 85 + 81 blue

4: 82 + 83 yellow

and so on - if possible with 2 channels in 2 different colors in severals steps.

It would be perfect if I could have 2 effects on top of each other, one with the intensities running through and the other with the colors - then in the netxt cue I could only change the color pattern and leave the intensity runnng as it where.

How do I do it most effectively?

Thanks

I tried, but I could not get the effect I wanted.

    Problem 1:

I know I can do a step-based effect for intensity as effect 1.

However I wanted something more randomized, so I tried a linear effect that holds the intensity for 1 sec and then fades out for another second.

That works, but I now wanted to make 3 groups with my 5 lights (it then makes nrs. 1+4, 2+5 and 3 as groups) and then use "random grouping". As soon as I use "random grouping" the effect starts to randomize not the grouping but the timing. My lights start to flash very very fast in not really random groups and then has a long pause and then flashes ao other light very fast again and so on. Really confusing... Is this a bug?

What I expect as behaviour is that the effect randomly picks 2 of the 5 lights and turns them on, fades them out and takes another 2 of the 5 and so on...

How do I do this? Am I thinking it wrongly?

    Problem 2:

As effect 2 I created an absolute effect with 6 actions:

1 turn param red to 100 hold for 1 sec

2 turn param red to 0 hold for 1 sec

    3 +4 same with green

    5+6 same with blue

What I expected was the first lights being red, the next being green, the next being blue.

What I got was all lights in blue and then one in a red circling through...

    I just don't get it....

  • Well - I found a solution with a step-based random chaser as effect 1
and color pallettes in an absolute effect 2
