Fixture in library

Just purchased some Martin Rush Wizard fixtures today and started to learn them on my ION to hopefully use in an event next week. I think they are either missing some items or I am missing how to control them. There are also a couple of colors that seem to be backwards.

1) Colors: the 8+ open actual color swatches show a dark blue and a blue however the swatches show a dark blue in the blue and a lighter blue in the dark blue. Can the swatches possibly be swapped?

2) The color swatch for Magenta seems to be much more like Red. Is there something more representative of Magenta to use?

3) The Color channel (3)

It shows multi functions within the channel; Color wheel: continuous scrolling, Color wheel: stepped scrolling, Continuous Rotation, Animation and Random color. I'm not exactly sure where to find these controls. For example the Animation shows Twinkle static and Twinkle animated, slow - fast. Are all these functions in the fixture in the library and if so where do I find their controls. Could not locate anything in ML controls.

I made a copy of the fixture to see how it was built and it looks like the Color wheel dmx values don't seem to match the values in the manual.

Can these items be looked at please :-)

I tried to insert the pdf of the manual but it keeps giving me an error. So I put the web location for Martin with the pdf on that.

  • Ooops. I opened the url I attached and then the PDF but it's not the user manual. So not exactly sure how I can attach it here since I keep getting an error.

    Maybe try this url.

  • Just looked at it again in Nomad at home and see now that Twinkle is in the Snap and another sub folder so that's great, however can't find split colors as shown in the manual and those blues are backwards as well as magenta really appears off.
  • Hi Jeff:

I agree that some of the ranges in our profile appear to be off by a bit.
We will take a look at it and try and get this resolved for you.
  • Thanks Sasha.

I've been swamped so a delay in this response. Wanted to make sure all of the issues I have found will be looked at.
    1) I'm pretty sure the Dark Blue can be labeled Cyan and the Blue can stay Blue. It visually appears there are Blue and a Cyan(ish) in the two blue colors even though the manual refers to Blue and Dark Blue. Who's to really say it is in fact Cyan though. That's just what I see it as. If you need to make them Blue and Dark Blue to fit the manual then I completely understand. The swatches are backwards though and the Magenta swatch is off. :-)
    2) What are the numbers on the color swatches after some of the colors referring to ?
    3) Twinkle static vs Twinkle motion effect
    4) Being able to access split colors. Not sure how that would be set up. Guessing when picking Continuous there would be 17 swatches; open plus the 8 colors and the splits and when picking Snap there would only be 9; Open plus 8 colors.
    5) Martin does not know what "Scan" is. They do not show that in the user manual.
    6) It also looks like the Gobos have split choices as well as whole choices. Not sure how that would look but they must think it is a good option. Humm

    Thanks bunches
