ETC nomad, Stand alone

Hello,

I need to take a small show on the road over the next couple of mouths and there is just no budget to hire a lighting desk. Its a simple design and wanted to use Nomad running from a laptop.

I have looked at the costs of buying it and Im slightly confused. Do I need to buy the ETC nomad USB to DMX gateway as well as the dongle?

Hope someone can answer hopefully a simple question :)

  • Yes, you will need the Nomad software license(which is the dongle) with the number of outputs you require. Min is 256, which is half a universe. You then need to either use a networked node/gateway or the ETC USB Gadget which will give you up to 512 outputs, a full universe(depending on your Nomad dongle license.
