Different +% or -% increment macro

Hello all,

I'm a little stumped on this one. I'm using an ION with software 2.3.3

Outside of using the hard keys ([Shift +] and [Shift -]) to increase or decrease intensity, is there a way of creating macros that will have a different % of change?

My hard key +/-% is set to 10%. There are times when I'm requested to adjust intensity at 15% or 20% increments.

I'm setting up X-Keys on an ION to accomplish this task and I figured that using macros would be the way to go.

Thank you.

  • There are a few ways to do this.

    • Make macros to change the value of the hard keys. Learn macros to update the desk settings for the manual controls Plus% and Minus%
    • Make macros to scale by values other than the default and leave the hard keys alone. [At]/115[Enter], [At]/85[Enter] for 15% in either direction.

  • Thank you for the reply.

It seems elaborate to update the desk settings for every keystroke but I guess that would be the only way. Plus, I would want the macro to default back to the standard +/-% setting to reduce errors using the hard keys.

I did consider scaling the values but that would confuse the gaffer expecting different percentage values in his head. Old school thought process.

    Thanks for the quick response!!
