Different +% or -% increment macro

Hello all,

I'm a little stumped on this one. I'm using an ION with software 2.3.3

Outside of using the hard keys ([Shift +] and [Shift -]) to increase or decrease intensity, is there a way of creating macros that will have a different % of change?

My hard key +/-% is set to 10%. There are times when I'm requested to adjust intensity at 15% or 20% increments.

I'm setting up X-Keys on an ION to accomplish this task and I figured that using macros would be the way to go.

Thank you.

  • If you change it to 5% then you get more flexibility, up by 15% is +% 3 times, down by 25% -% 5 times etc....

You could make macros to say @+15% and @+25% rather than changing the settings every time you want to go to a value and add <select active> to make it more like the +% and -% function.

Though the keystroke @+50 or @-25 is easy enough syntax and in my mind easier to remember than a macro number.

    P.S.
You can also do a recall from channel if the designer asks for the same as another channel (though if its more than a dimmer be sure to specify intensity in the command line)
Recall from Cue and other targets also work (same applies regards intensity though)
  • I would probably mimic the hardkeys and do "select last select active @ +15" or similar, so that you don't change things that don't have values currently.
