Why can't I make the prism in a mac 250 krypton rotate anti-clockwise? Running 2.3.3 on an Ion and have looked at all the modes.

I don't have problems with vl3000s etc.

  • Hi Daz,

Looking at this in 2.3.3, I am able to see the console can get to the right DMX range for both CW and CCW modes, but I can see how it might be missed.

I'd recommend opening up ML controls and looking at it there. It's possible to get this on an Ion encoder; I'll get there in a second.

The Beam Fx Select has 5 modes: Open, Effect Rot-, Effect Rot Off, Effect Rot +, and Macros. Select the - or + mode. Next click on the Beam Fx Select header to open up a virtual encoder. Click and hold close to the center line to slowly move it.

On the + mode, you may need to select the prism, as it also shows an open mode on the same range.

On Ion encoders, this means that the + mode likely requires you to hold Shift and move the encoder once you're in the right mode. This then allows 'fine' control.

I definitely agree this is confusing - I'll ask that we look at how to improve this.

    Thanks!
