Puck with nano Korg?

I have a question about Puck.

I would like to attach some faders to the Puck. I was hoping to do this via Midi, but I can not find how.

I have a nanokontrol 2. I have mapping for this via my Mac, but this does not help.

I tried to connect my Mac to the puck via USB, and use the option "client" when opening the nomad software on my Mac.

This does not work. Does someone now if this is possible? I do not want to buy a Nomad key as well, we just spend all this money on the Puck..

Can i not use my laptop as a client, or even just as a "screen" for the puck?

Any other tips on using a midi control together with puck, thanks!

AFAIK you need to connect Puck and Mac via network to run the Mac as a client. Plus need to be same software and Fixture lib. To run as client, you also need a nomad dongle on the Mac.

Is it possible to connect a midi device (like nano korg, other) to puck for use as faders?

eos currently doesn't process midi input (except for MSc or MTC). you should be able to use e. g. OSCulator on your Mac to translate to OSC which eos will handle gladly

ok: how do i work around submasters on tour in this case? do you use the submasters on the screen?

And more importantly: what do i use for an intensity wheel?

I was hoping i could do this with the mouse, but this does not work. I really miss this feature!

regarding intensity wheel: you could use hotkeys for the +% - % console buttons. I think the hotkeys are Shift = and shift -
in setup you can define the steps. default is steps of 10, I prefer steps of 05.

The Nomad software isn't really designed for "hands on" control without a physical fader module or at least a touch screen.

As others have said, if you were running the Nomad software on a Mac, you could convert the MIDI Notes from your Korg using OSCulator. A guide is here: https://community.etcconnect.com/control_consoles/f/158/t/18631

ETC is working on a Puck-compatible motorized fader wing, but I don't believe you can buy it yet.

Some folks use an OSC application running on an iPad to control faders. If you have an iPad you'd like to use for this, let us know and we can point you in right direction.

You can also put faders in Magic sheets now.
Midi notes are also on the list to add.

Yes but only by wireless not USB (that I know of).

There are lots of default layouts available using Touch OSC.

The subs I use "hands on" are usually effects. Also houselights at start and end of show.
Sometimes also the effects channel, and strobe on simple Led-fixtures.
I sometimes program them on subs just as channels to have more "hands-on" control.
