Nomad Software on a Mac Restricted Account connection issues

Has anyone had issues running nomad software on a mac within a restricted account?  I keep getting an error that the multi console services can't enable even when installed directly on the account in question.

Within the admin account everything works fine, and I know with the PC version you can just reinstall on each of the limited accounts but the Mac's are having more issues. I really don't want our students and part time staff to be logged in as an admin but need them to be able to start Nomad.

MAC os 10.10.5

Nomad 2.3.3

  • Building on Anne's comment a bit. Starting slpd can require higher user privileges, but once started, a normal user should be able to connect to it. You may be able to script it such that slpd is started automatically at login.

Note that slpd is only required for multiconsole network connections - if you are using it just for offline purposes, it will be fine without slpd running.
