"You cannot yet edit the contents of a Grand Master. You will be able to in a future build. In that build, there will be no default config. So if you want a GM, you have to specify this. Page 6 having GM on it is a legacy issue from earlier work that we haven't yet changed, as we were still deciding how to best manage the default config. A GM is different from an Inhib in that the setting of a Grand Master does not impact the stored intensity value. If the GM is set to 50%, the lights will be stored at their "non-mastered" value. The setting of the Inhib does impact the intensity that is actually stored in the cue. It's always a discussion.... what side of "Record" does the GM fall on. Because we have Inhibitive subs, we place the GM on the far side of record, giving you both options.", Anne V. 9-5-07
Howdy,
1. My Amber Sky Cyc's and Ground Rows are way brighter than the RB and G. Sorta mid stream I decided to build an inhibitive for them to mix well during the Absolute Effects instant Flash and Trash I've fallen in love with. I've found myself running it about 60% most of the time. The only problem is that when I record a straight cue, the levels are immediately re-affected by the inhib. I am looking at 60% of the 60% recorded level. I am kinda loathe to do a proportionate patch at this point in the game. When I realized that what I want is one of the several Grandmasters to control these channels, I found the above quote. I agree with the philosphy, but is there any new news on this? I can come up with another solution, but I am curious.
2. Is there a way to set an inhibitive sub with ch's 1through 10 so that when the pot is pulled down, 1 through 9 are at 0% but 10 is at 20 %?
Thanks,
B
