Channel check and preheat

What do you do for your daily check? Do you use (channel check) and step them though with next and last, or do you use (highlight) or do you have a cue list or....?

I normally just use channel check and teach that to others running the show. The problem is we have some PC that can blow the lamps when they pop on. I guess the simple answer is I could write a cuelist, just takes some time from me.

I find that running channel check at some level below full achieves basically the same result... fewer blown lamps.  Try using [1][@][80]{Chan Check}[Enter][Next] instead.

You can also just select all of the channels and set them to 20% (or whatever) before you begin channel check... then use [1][@][Full]{Chan Check}[Enter][Next] as normal.  

Or, finally, you could use this macro after typing [1][@][Full][Enter]:

you could set the manual Up time in setup to let's say 2 seconds. would that help? this setting can be found in Setup > Desk > Manual Control > Up. this can also be macroified...

To keep it simple... Have a cue before your first cue with your preheat.
