Had an instance where I really wanted to be able to RecallFrom several channels running an effect in a cue and have their rate and size info of that effect come over to my new cue. Doesn't seem to be a way to do this without copying the whole cue.
I would think you would want this to happen all the time. If you didn't you could just select those channels and put them in the effect manually again, not RecallFrom.
Your opinion on a seperate note- If you had ch's 1>4 (conventionals) running effect x in the root cue y, which would you expect when you say 2+3 recall from cue y? The equivalent of [2+3 effect x enter] or [1>4 effect x enter. 1+4 @ 0 enter]?

Well since you're not calling 1+4 nothing happens. I would want everything that 2+3 were doing in that cue y including IFCB and Effect and the custom rate and size that were recorded into the cue y. Gotta look at it from a moving light stand point. I want a specific bally that I had originally created with 30 channels but in this new cue I only want 4 of the channels in that bally, but at the same settings as when I used it before.
I would agree. I would want recall from to include rate/size for FX. Incase you didn't want to always have recall from include rate and size, could you have a syntax that specifies you want to recall the effect info as well? Maybe something like [chs effect recall from cue enter]??
