I'm having a small encoder irritation on v2.3.3 that I've never noticed before. (I'm a bit behind the times with regular programming since 2.3 came out, so it could be me doing something silly or unaware of new display options.) I'm programming on an EOS Ti, and all attributes are assigned to the encoders I expect, except the Color attributes for my CMY and RGB Moving Heads have their most useful attributes split on different screens.
For the Martin Viper Performance (CMY) Cyan is showing bottom encoder on Color page 2 (with no other encoders in use), and Magenta bottom on page 3, with Yellow above it. On both pages there's at least enough spare encoders for all three CMY to be on the same page (ideally together with CTO, but I don't use it much). For the Martin Quantum LED Wash (RGB) Green is top encoder on page 1, with red on bottom encoder same page, blue is 2nd encoder on Page 2.
Does the encoder pagination (I imagine) respond to other units you have patched in the show, as I have Lustr2s (in Direct Str mode) in the same show, and when the encoders are strangely laid out there's usually a greyed Lime or Indigo encoder inapplicable to my Vipers or Quantums?
I'm aware there's never been an option to lay out the Encoder screens as a user option, and why that is. But I've never previously felt the need to be able to as the pages have always shown me the attributes I need to use together in an intelligently designed way. Do you have any tips to help me with this or to help me understand the reasons for the change? Is there new a Flexi function on the Encoder screen? Or does the Color Encoder layout respond to something else, for instance the color mixing mode displayed in the Color Picker (as HSI mode displayed might indicate you preferred to mix that way rather than CMY or RGB)? Maybe this has always existed, and this is my first show with so many different types of color attributes to mix? The problem remains this way through a deep clear, though I don't have any other consoles to check further reproducibility.
Apologies if this is covered extensively elsewhere, I couldn't find anything on the Forum searching for relevant terms I could think of - feel free to point me in the direction of previous discussions. All pointers gratefully received.
