Time Code Macro

As someone who does many dance shows, lighting and calling the stage, I utilize (as many do) a stopwatch by which the cues are called and executed.

I've suggested in the past that a stopwatch widget would be a nice addition to the magic sheets or as a stand alone feature (and many have agreed) but it looks as though (with 2.4) that, for now, it's something for the future, unless, of course, I missed something.

In the meantime, I'd like to use the SMPTE time code clock for this purpose.

I'm not terribly familiar with the Show Control features (rarely have the need) so am a bit at a loss on exactly how to create what I'd like.

I'd like to create a Macro that will a) trigger the clock to start at 00:00:00:00 (hrs., min, sec., frames-i think) and then another Macro that will stop the clock and reset to zero.

I was able to create a list that started the clock but, being very unfamiliar, am unable to create the stop feature and, as such, am unable to generate the Macro which will be another interesting thing to tackle.

Reading the forums, I see that many of you have a far, far deeper knowledge of Show Control and I would like to tap your thoughts on how to create this feature/function if, in fact, I'm able to.

Of course, I'm all ears if anyone has a alternate idea.

Thanks in advance for any knowledge or ideas you can pass along.
