Password Protecting Startup?

Question

I know that it is not possible at the moment, but I did hear and see on this forum that it was a feature that was close to being worked on, but that was in 2012-13. Is the feature scrapped, or is it coming soon?

There's no specific ETA at the moment, but security features are on the list, they're not scrapped.
