Art-Net to Subnet 2

Hi,

I just found out how to set art net to a different Sub-Net. In fact every 16th universe, marks the next sub-net.

So Art-Net Start: 0 until Art-Net Start:15 is in Sub-Net 0, Universe 1 through 15.

From Art-Net Start 16 it is Sub-Net 1, Universe 0.

From Art-Net Start 32 it is Sub-Net 2, Universe 0, etc.

But my question is: Where to find this in the manual?

    Hi,

    It's not really anything to do with Eos, that's just a weirdness in the way Artnet is implemented.

    If you patch something to to universe 16 with an Artnet start of 0 it will also be outputting to subnet 1, patch to 32 it will be subnet 2 etc. All you're defining is what the starting offset is. 

    Most people use a start of 1, and then ignore universe 0, so universes line up properly i.e. 1=1.

    The release notes for whatever version it was included in (2.0 maybe) did mention the offset feature.
