Request: Can we assign the Playback Masters on a Gio to be Something Else?

Running 2.4, there's a tantalizing menu popup in fader setup that implies that I could assign the playback fader pair to be something else.  (For example, on shows with no cue stack, I would love to make them be the Grand Master, rather than using a regular fader.)  But it doesn't "stick" if you change the setting.

Could it?

  • It's not currently possible despite the menu and I'm personally very against this being an option. There really needs to be once place on the desk which is reliably a big go button and nothing else.
  • I would never be in favor of remapping the master Go, Stop/Back and Load buttons.  However, (at the risk of opening a massive can or worms), I would be in favor of allowing the user to split out that fader pair and assign it to other things.

For example, I have never ever used my master fader pair to manually fade between cues.  I always set my cue list to I-Master.  This means the second fader just sits there with no purpose.  In a split Conventionals/Moving Light programmer situation, I'd love to be able to map the faders to be the I-Master for each cue list.

Another example: On a Nomad Programming wing without a fader wing, I'd like to be able to program one fader to be my cue list I-Master and the other to be my work light submaster.

    (watch out for those worms)
