Issues with Effects and Multiple Cue lists

When there is an effect running in two different cue lists with the same cue number it seems that you can only modify the attributes of one of the Effects running even though there are a handful different sources listed. I can go into blind and do each one individually, but it would be nice to modify them all in live and update all the lists respectively.

I'm also having an issue with effects not tracking properly at times and ignoring blocks. One situation that I've noticed is that if you update an effect change then undo that update and try to update again, it will not save. It just seems that Effects don't function properly involving tracking and just aren't doing what would be expected.

  • Hi there,

    Sorry for the delay.

I found two bugs related to your first comments - SCR 39856 and 39857. I found that selectively updating when multiple effect properties (like rate) had been modified resulted in all effect changes being stored (*56), and that you cannot currently modify the same-numbered effect when it is active in different cue lists in live (*57).

On your second comment - there are a number of issues currently with updating and undo related to effects. Do you have a particular example where effects are ignoring blocks/aren't tracking correctly not related to undo? It would be interesting if we could separate out those two things.
