Ballyhoo effect not working

I have tried to use the Ballyhoo effect on my ION and it does not work correctly.  Even though the graph shows Pan and Tilt as the parameters, the fixtures only move in Pan.  I am using Roscoe iCues for this.  Other effects such with Pan and Tilt such as the Figure 8 work correctly.  This is true on both the ION console and on ION Offline.

  • Hi thereThe reason for this because the effect is defaulted to only apply to pan.  Go into the effect list and you'll see a box that says "Paramaters"  In that box, it will say Pan.  If you want the effect to apply to tilt as well, change the parameter box so it says Pan & Tilt, or Focus.

    Duh - slapping forehead!  Never even noticed.   BUT, it causes me to wonder why would an effect, such as Ballyhoo, be defined with Pan and Tilt moves and then only enable Pan?  I guess I expected the Ballyhoo effect to perform the classic ballyhoo move that followspot operators know and use so I never even checked the parameters.
