VL-4000 Patching

In patch for VL-4000 spot what is the differences between VL4000 Spot 16B, e, ETC, eETC modes?

  • Hi John,

The "e" designates the Enhanced mode, which is set at the fixture.
The "ETC" modes are a simplified version of the gobo wheels that we made. For some instances, the simplified control (at the expense of losing some fixture wheel functionality) is preferred.

I'd recommend using the regular or "e" mode unless you find a specific need to look at the "ETC" modified mode version.

    Thanks!

I've not been able to test the new ETC VL4000 fixtures yet but I don't believe you will lose any functionality if you use this type although Carralon say you will, the functions will still work using the other wheel param (on my iPad at the moment so can't check the real name).

I do know there is a problem with the fixture global reset time on the ETC fixture this should be 4-6 seconds and not 36 seconds. That the moment when you send this command the fixture doesn't start the reset for 36 seconds and then takes 36 seconds to reset.
