Shortcuts for Encoders in Nomad software

Question

Newer asking of this old unanswered question: Encoder Keyboard Shortcuts 
 I have built a touchscreen keypad that replicates the Ion face panel layout such that I can use my iPad Pro as an Ion face panel while using the nomad software. The app I'm using (KeyPad by dopplerthepom.com) allows dial controls, effectively touch screen versions of encoders. I would like to be able to use them as the encoders on Ion/Gio, but none of the ETC docs on keyboard shortcuts include any shortcuts for increasing/decreasing encoder wheels. It doesn't matter to me if they're incredibly obscure or physically impossible keyboard shortcuts because they would be triggered automatically. I've also looked at Xkeys configuration but no luck there either. 
 Is there any way to control the 4 encoders on Ion/Gio using keyboard commands or similar?

Not currently. The easiest way to get the functionality onto an iPad/tablet is to use an osc based software. TouchOSC Lemur or the specifically designed one for Eos oscRFR. These all include the ability to control encoders 
 
 OSC is a network based protocol that is natively supported in the Eos family and doesn't require any additional software to be install on the console or nomad computer.
