Gadget II

Nomad 2.4.1

Windows 7

Today my Gadget stopped working during a class demo.  I tried re-plugging it to the USB port; the red LED on the side of the Gadget next to the USB port would light up for a second, then go off and wouldn't send out DMX.  With the help of ETC tech support we figured out that the driver on the PC needed to be updated.  Now it's fixed and sending out DMX again, but the red light on the side of the Gadget still lights up for just a second, then goes off.  I know that having it working is the top priority here, but it would be nice to have the red indicator light as a constant reminder that the Gadget is still working.

Has this happened to anyone else?

  • Hi Tony! I took a look at the notification from when you spoke with Michael. To me, it sounds like you may have a bad green LED on your Gadget II, which is something we would love to warranty repair for you. If you haven't had anything repaired with us before, I would recommend contacting your local ETC dealer with your notification number, 300520311, to get the process started. If you don't have a preferred dealer, it looks like Productions Unlimited in Greer would be the closest to Clemson University. Please feel free to call Tech Services, or email me (alex@etcconnect.com) with any questions.
