Cue merging issues with Rouge Effects

Hi All,

We just updated our ION (I believe it is a WIN 7 box) to EOS 2.4.

Since updating we have a weird behavior when we merge cues from show A (created in EOS 2.2) into show B.

Let's say we merged CUE 2 through 2.7 from Show A into Show B starting at Cue 2. The effects that are on the Cues from Show A come across as expected but then attach themselves to the next 5 or 10 cues after the merged cues. On top of this, it also includes another rouge effect (we see it in the effect column in the PSD) but that effect is not assigned to any channels and cannot be removed from the cues.

All effect that are coming across are effects that we made and not part of the 900's.

I have run a Deep clear and this didn't fix the issue.

  • I checked in the effects status window. If I delete all effects from the cue (Effect 1, 4, 6 & 100.1) everything is removed except for #6 which only shows up in the PSD in the effect column and not in the effect status window. Am I right to assume that if it doesn't show up in the effect status window then it isn't assigned to any channels?

    Edit:

I also check the all the channels.  No effects are applied. I did copy all of the channel data to a new cue and stubborn effect did not follow to the new cue.

  • We figured out what is going on with the effects.

The way we were removing effects was the culprit. We were using [effect] [out] [enter][update] to remove the effects. This just stopped the effects but kept the effects attached to the channels. The catch is when we looked at the channels in LIVE the effects appeared to be removed, but when we looked at the CUE in BLIND we saw that the effects were still attached to the channel. By removing the effects in BLIND we were able to set everything straight. Thanks for your help!
