Can't unpark channels (Ion)

I have 3 multi-parameter Channels that will not clear from the PARK display.  Looking at the PARK display in table view, all the attributes are blank.

This happened after I made major changes to my patch (DELETED some channels, MOVED some others). The channels that will not unpark are 3 of the 12 channels that I moved.

I have tried [CHANNELS] @ ENTER from the PARK display over and over again, but they simply will not leave the screen.  Other channels park and unpark just fine.  This apparently has no effect on output, but it is annoying to see those white P's on my LIVE display.

Any ideas?  This looks like a bug.

 Thanks!

Ethan

I had this problem as well after deleting some channels that were parked before deletion.  In my case, repatching the channels, clearing park, then deleting again seemed to work.  Is it the moved-from channel that won't unpark?  Is there anything currently in it?  I don't know for sure, but I suspect that if there is not a type assigned to the channel, Ion just doesn't know what to do with commands about that channel

  • The channels that won't unpark are Moved-TO channels.

That being the case, unfortunately, deleting them and repatching is not an option, as they are moving lights and doing so would delete all of their information in my palettes, presets, and cues.... correct?

I could be wrong, but I don't believe any of them were parked before I repatched.

  • Is it the old chans or the new chans that won't unpark?  If it is the old channel numbers that are problematic, are you able to delete them, or are you using those numbers for something else now?

Another idea - can you move the chans back to there old numbers, unpark, and then move back again?

3rd idea - save your show.  Deep clear, then open your show and select all items EXCEPT parked chans

    Hope that helps

    cheers

  • I don't see Parked Channels as on Option for Open File...

HOWEVER -- I saved my show, start a NEW show, then opened from my saved file, and that did manage to clear the patch.  Everything seems OK now!  Thanks for the suggestion!
