Color Temperature Issue

Hi,

I'm using some MacTech 300 Wide Bi-Color fixtures that are in a color palette and are controlled by a sub master.  The fixtures are in a color palette that makes them burn at 5400k.  The issue I'm having is that they don't maintain the 5400k color palette as the submaster they are mapped to is brought down in intensity.  I'm sure this is an easy fix... any ideas?  Thanks

  • I'm guessing, that you've configured the sub as a proportional master.
When the sub is brought down, the channels that are controlled by it, will return to their background-state.
If there is no cue active and the channel is not receiving any other values, the background-state is the home-preset.

If you only use them in 5400K during the whole show, the easiest solution would be to store the color palette for this fixture into the home-preset.

You can also configure the sub to be an Intensity master:
Press [Sub][Sub] or [Tab]+15, then go to the desired sub and choose "I-Master" in the "Master"-column.

This way, the sub will only control the Intensity of the fixtures.
You can preset any NPs when you press the Go/Flash-key or when you put the fader up.

When putting the fader up manually, the sub will use the "Up"-time for fading NPs, which is also declared in the sub-configuration.
It's standard-value is 0, so if there's a situation where the intensity of the fixtures is above 0 and the NPs are different from the ones stored on the sub, you might want to change the Up-time.

If you plan to control the sub only via the command line, or macros, you can ignore the "Up"-time setting.
The command [Sub] 1 @ 100 Time 5 will fade the intensity as well as the NPs in 5 seconds.

    Hope I could help.
