Nomad Library and setup across Win 10 User Accounts

I am at a theatre I occasionally help out at, and they have recently purchased a new computer (Windows 10) and Nomad with a Gadget II.

Nomad is up to date with its fixture library, however when I am under the user account on the computer with no administrator and network privileges the fixture library does not show up (says not installed) and I can not access it in Nomad. A real pain in the butt with LEDs and I-Cues to use.

Any ideas on how to fix this. The Fixture Library is kind of a good thing. Along with that when I loaded Nomad under the admin account the layouts were completely different. Don't care about that as much. I generally avoid Windows 10, as I find it annoying in many ways.

Thanks.

  • the simplest way of getting a library added, download a Fixture Library Patch for one of the Eos-Family product pages at etcconnect.com. unzip and you will find another zip in there. this second zip you copy to a directory you will remember. start nomad, in the shell click settings, in General there is a Software Update button. click and point to the directory where you put the zip and then update.
this should give you a fixture library in your user account.
it would help, if you did the same procedure also in your admin account to make sure that you always have the same library in both accounts
