Hey,
I am a student at a school that has recently had a lighting system controlled by an element ETC 40ch lighting board installed. Recently I have been doing research into getting all of the lights working and have been experimenting.
The primary issue we have been having is with the moving heads. We have 4 StairVille MH-X25 lights which I can move and change filters and gobos on perfectly, but I cannot change the speed at which the gobos can move. Looking at the DMX table on the manual, it seems to have this functionality (the gobo rotation address is marked with sections "Positive rotation with increasing speed" and "Negative rotation with increasing speed".) The element ETC manual control only gives me options "rot+" and "rot-", and no way to change the speed. This is an issue because the default rotation speed is anaemically slow for some applications. Does anyone know how to do this? I know that a custom profile could probably be done, but this is a lot of complexity and due to my amateur nature I will probably make a mistake at some point.
The secondary issue, which is much less important, is offsetting the pan of the lights by 90 degrees. For some reason, the lights are all facing stage-right at 0 degrees pan instead of forward. This is just something that is a pain to get used to and teach to other people, but if there is a quick fix that doesn't include getting a 10M ladder to go up to the lights and rotating them manually then it would be a massive time-saver!
Thanks for reading this

I have since checked this, and while an option is not available on the ml controls tab, as myself and other people thought there would be, there is an option in the CIA (under Beam) which can be set manually using the @ symbol and the command line, which is fine for most uses! I am still having issues with some fixtures (Chauvet Colorado par quad 18s) and accurate colour representation in comparison with other lights but that seems to to be an issue with the fixture settings, so I will open it as an issue with one of them. Thank you for all of your help though!
