can't update a que when using inhibitive subs

hello everyone,

appologies if this is adressed elsewhere, couldn't find it.

thing is,

I can't update a que when using inhibitive subs that are not at 100% so if it is at 90% the console says 'channel list is empty' but when the sub is full, it updates like normal.

record behaves the same. so nothing happens when the subs are not at100%

What did i miss?

thanks in advance

  • do you have other modified channels other than the ones your inhibiting? my guess is that you haven't, correct?
update only looks at red stuff, which is manual data. inhibiting a sub doesn't make those inhibited channels red, so they're not eligible for an Update.
  • Hi Ueli,

    actually, i have.
example, i made a inhib for L201 colored house lights, (show was made on 1kw fresnel spots, and the theatre im in has 2kW fresnels, so, instead of patching proportional or changing every value i made a inhib. and take it a bit down, say 80%

but, in one cue, one of the L201 foh spots may need a little more power, so i take the intensity a little higher.
value is manual, but update and record do not work.

and when i take the inhib to 100% both of the buttons work as expected.

    thoughts?

    tnx

  • two things:
    - i think this will not generate an error in 2.5 anymore
    - it still will not do what you want. currently the console tries to update to the source and in your case thinks that's the sub. but updating sub only works with typing it out. you would have to type Update Cue. in 2.5 it will update the cue without being told to, but the inhib factor is ignored when updating.
