Hi there. I like to keep my submasters mapped. In the newest update, when I delete a submaster is unmaps it entirely. Is this a bug or is there a new quick way to clear the channels off of a sub?

Submitters getting unmapped when I press delete sub.

  • finally getting to update the house consoles to 2.4.1. I work almost exclusively with submasters on faders. Now if I delete a sub, the associated fader gets unmapped. When I record new content and save it to a submaster number, I need an extra step to load that sub to a fader. NOT HAPPY about that.

SJohnson: will your example {Goto cue 0 record sub 1 thru xx entre} also remove any labels or sub settings?

I love the idea of submasters ranging across 2 or 3 faders for control of rate, scale. etc. That's great. I really don't like the auto-unmapping. Can we get a default check box that fader 1 thru xx will default to submaster?

    Thanks all

Merry Christmas / happy hanukkha / best of diwali
  • Go ahead and delete all your subs as usual.

    To remap and reset simply.

    Blind

sub 1 thru thru (whatever number you want) enter  (make sure you use thru thru)

    Live

sub 1 thru (whatever number you want to map) enter

hit the load button on the first submaster.

Everything is now mapped exactly how you want with labels removed and subs reset to their default states.

If this is too complicated just make it a macro.

The additional tools that have been added to faders and playback make "traditional" setups something that we should be looking to move beyond.

If you currently work in a "subs only" world you should try exploring the new options that have become available as they may actually make your live easier.

The additional mapping options of 2x and 3x faders to one target make the "default everything 1 to 1" obsolete.
