Is there a reason why an ION would go straight to the shell when powered on?

We turned on our Ion (win 7 EOS 2.4) this morning, but it booted to the Shell screen and not into the Primary interface which is not normal for this board. We restarted the board and it then booted correctly. Is there some maintenance step that I need to take? This ION is not on a network.

Just for clarification, did it boot to the screen where you can choose primary, backup, etc? It could have just gotten hung up. I'm not at a console at the moment and won't be for a few weeks, but I thought there used to be an option to stop at that screen to give the user the option as to what mode to put the console in.

Yes, that is where it hung. The console is setup to boot directly into the primary. Thank!

You can set the boot-behavier in 'settings' under 'general'.
There is a point, right after the language, that says 'Open in "Shell" E.C.U.'.

If it's un-checked, the Consol will boot in the last way you have booted. (that's what i recognised)
So maybe you last time got to the shell...
