Let Ch.1 thru 2 be Skypanel S30 C Mode 1
Select Ch. 1 and record a Color Palette 1 by type and a color palette 2 by type.
Now 1 is the default channel (Its levels are blue) and 2 is a tracking channel (levels are purple.)
Create a new channel 3 of the same type and the CP values will be created automatically.
Delete channel 1. Ch.2 and Ch. 3 retain their CP values but they are tracked from a channel that doesn't exist any more (purple).
Instead, Ch.2 should become the new default channel when Ch. 1 is deleted.
Create a new channel 4 of the same type and the CP values will be not be created.
Select color palettes and make them by type. Now 2 is the default channel (levels are blue).
Now the gaffer says, "OK, let's take #2 and make it a S60 instead. "
Change Ch.2's type to Skypanel S36 C Mode 1.
Now Ch. 2 has the same color palettes as before, as it should because it has the same parameters as before.
But now all palette information from Ch. 3 and Ch. 4 is GONE.
With a type change on Ch. 2, Ch.3 should retain the same color palette info and become the new default channel for its type. Ch. 4 should keep the same color palette values and remain a tracked channel.
Or perhaps create "by type" color palettes without ANY default channels and have the "default" values stored with the palette or stored with the fixture type; I'm just brainstorming here.
