Faders in ETCNomad

Hi guys.

This seems like a stupid question, but I was unable to find any threads or documentation covering this matter.

I am using ETCnomad in Element mode. Is it possible to control the 60 faders present on the physical console? I do not need them for channel control as using syntax on a keyboard is much quicker than dragging sliders on screen anyway. Rather I require them for submaster control.

If someone would not mind clarifying this basic matter, I would very much appreciate it.

  • Hello Aaron,

On the Element, you have the selector knob for channels or Submasters.  When you set it to Submasters, then all 60 sliders become Subs.  You can mimic this in ETCnomad by getting the Virtual Keyboard (keys symbol in the top-right of your screen, near the time) and choosing Submaster Mode.

If you want to pretend to use those faders, you need to open the Faders tab, which is Tab 28.  Each Tab only shows 10 faders, so you would need to open several tabs/frames to see everything your Element has.  In fact, you can only split your screen 4 ways, to see 40 subs:

You can always set Subs from the command line just like channels.  Sub 10 @ 50 proportionally brings up the content of that sub to 50%.

  • I have just another question regarding the faders display. Can these faders be set as channels or are they fixed as submasters?
