Is RDM supported over local DMX outputs?

I will be using ETCNomad with a Gadget II (which is described as compatible with RDM) in addition to an Element console occasionally. Does both Nomad and Element support RDM through local DMX outputs? I was under the impression that they do, however I am now doubting this assumption after having read in the Element manual that a Net3 Gateway is required wherever references to RDM have been written.

I notice the current manual is labelled as v2.1 while the latest version of EOS is 2.4, so is such information simply outdated and no longer the case?

Yes - RDM is supported on Local DMX outputs of all EOS Family Consoles and ETCNomad and Gadgets. you just need to have IO cards in console updated to current firmware. Instructions can be found in Eos Software Update Release Notes.

Hi Aaron,

yes the manuals get a rewrite - generally with each new main Software Update - so probably with Eos Family Software Update v3 we should expect a rewrite.
In the mean time with each second digit (x) update ie - v2.x - we publish a supplement to the manual - also available on our website by manuals - which contains all the changes.
