change strobe freq proportional on a fader.

Hello Anne,

I would like to be able to adjust a the strobe parameter on a fader. But when I place it on to a fader doesn't work proportional. When I make a list of beam pallets it jumps even when I set a fade timing.

  • Hello Marnix,

My guess is that the strobe parameter of the fixture you're using is "Snapping". In the Fixture Editor, you could copy your profile to have a look at it and disable this feature.

Most of the time, when fading from a look without a strobe to one with the strobe, you don't want the strobe to "speed up" until it reaches the proper speed for the cue. Instead, it starts off in the right speed, without having to pre-set it. That is Snapping.

Other parameters that are usually Snapping are things like MSpeeds (Motor Speeds) since you don't want the MSpeed changing partway through a cue!
