I am a student looking into getting the student package with the ETC nomad and Gadget II. Currently at my school, we are using a smartfade which replaced an old Obsessions II board. I loved the Obsession, and the smart fade doesn't seem like it is built for theater shows to me. I was wondering if the smart fade could be used as a fader wing to controle the software with the Nomad. If not I guess I could still use it as a back up board, but it would still be nice to have controle that is more than a mouse for submaster/channels. Has anyone here done this or know if it might work?
