iRFR results in nagging about update on iPhone

I've noticed the very same thing when I've tried running the demo app on my IPhone or iPad.

When exactly was the last time this app was updated? It certainly must be at least a few years as it is not optimised for a larger screen and has the older-style iOS 6 buttons.

According to the app store the last update was April 2012. It seems a little crazy to ask for $50 for an app that hasn't been updated in 5 years.

On a point of clarification, ETC receives no revenue for the app. All the money goes to industry-related charities.

Maybe I'm imagining this, but I'm sure not long ago the price was higher.

I fully understand that the money for iRFR goes to either Behind the Scenes or Light Relief, however the app needs to be kept up-to-date in order to play nicely with new iOS upgrades and new phones.

An app that has gone 5 years without an update is sadly out of date.

I believe that a beta test of a "refresh" to the app is in progress right now.

The old app still mostly works on my phone even if it is slow at times.
I recently put it on a new device and it won't let me change any of the settings so I can't save "Allow Cue Playback" thus can't use it to run cues live on that device. The phone I have has that allowed already and still works, but it makes any new devices way less useful.
