Tooo many 0s in Live screen

Can someone help me out here?

When another operator loaded the default house show (patch and subs), the patch came in as a 1 to 1 (which is wrong).  I'm going to think Operator error on this one.  I Loaded the correct default patch, the normal patch came in.

However, all channels without an address assigned to them came up with a 0 where the level should be.  Previously there was no 0.

The grey Channel number is present, there is no box around it, and a grey level # is present.  In patch, the channel has no box around it, and nothing in the address column.  The rows leading into the patch, database columns are black, not grey, and have no information (which is fine).

I would like to remove the 0 on all the unused channels.  Anythoughts?

Thanks.

  • I think the zeros will disappear if you exit and restart. I'm assuming you are on an Ion, not an Eos. When you do a file new on Ion, it gives you a default 1 to 1 patch.

Yes, Ion, 1.4.1  Working today, the 00000ooooo... are all gone.  But I've been recording the playing back cues, and other programming things.  I didn't notice they the 0s were there when I powered up this morning.

I doubt I would ever open a new show file, since that would remove my house patch including the house lights etc.  Pretty much all shows would start from my house patch, and we can delete subs/groups and adapt patch as necessary.

     Thanks.

  • A new tangent on this thread:

(all the 0s have been gone for a while now. all good)

I installed the beta of 1.4.2, and then uninstalled it.  Some deleted channels have grey 0 intensities showing and others don't.

For instance: ch 23 and 24 are deleted (no lamps assigned).  I've physically told the console to delete them a long time ago.  The channel numbers are grey.  There is no tombstone box around it, and no number in the intensity section.

Channels 85 - 200 are empty.  Board is set for 200 channels max.  I previously deleted channels 85 - 200.  Now, the numbers are grey, there are no tombstones, but a grey 0 intensity is below each channel.  The same for Ch 31, in the middle of my patch (used channels in the house hang).

Turning the console on and off isnt' fixing it anymore.  Not a huge issue, only a matter of a less cluttered screen.

Ion, 1.4.1. waiting for 1.4.2, without the automatic chan to sub install on power up (i've emailed Anne already).

    Thanks.

  • Just an update:

channels 84 to 200 (which had the grey 000) had been recorded into submasters 84 - 200.  Since the channels were referenced somewhere (in a sub), I guess the 0 popped up.  I guess that subs 84 - 200 had been created when I tried the beta of 1.4.2 but were not removed when I un-installed it.  I deleted the offending subs, and the 0s went away.
