Fader Wing LCD lables not appearing

Hi ETC

3 times now when powering up, the 1st (leftmost, away from the console) wing fader LCD screen is not displaying its labels.  The lables will appear when I shut down and re-boot.  The screen has power (I can see a glow around the edges of the screen).  The ETC logo doesn't appear during the power up either.

My board is set-up as 2x10, 2x20, 2x10, and the console, running 1.4.1

Thoughts?

thanks.

  • Andrew,

Are your wings connected to each other using the provided screws? I know a large system like that is a bit cumbersome to screw together, but it's important to have a solid connection between each wing. Also, look for any bent terminals on the left, "male" side of the wing in the middle.

Have you tried swapping the order of the wings? I'm curious to see if it happens in a different order.

The fact that it doesn't say "Electronic Theatre Controls" on power up concerns me.

Send me an email at  eos [at] etcconnect [dot] com, and we'll talk through some more trouble shooting steps.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

I haven't been able to rip it apart yet.  Too many shows.  However, it hasnt' happened this week.  Yes the panels are screwed together.

Not Yet.  I plan to swap panels around for better orientation anyway.  I just need some desk time.
