Etc aRFR/iRFR

Our school recently purchased the etc ion,  we were super excited that it had app control,  like our behringer x32, the only problem is that we don't use it enough to pay the $50 for the app, does anyone have a cheap alternative that works? I cried 1cue and it did not work, the app would connect and then do nothing, I enabled osc. thanks for looking at my post

  • Any of the inexpensive options are going to take some knowledge of networking and OSC to properly setup. If you have no money then spend some time. Invest in your future. Learn about computer networking so you understand how to properly setup wired and wireless networks. Once you have done that take a look at TouchOSC which has numerous layouts available for download.
  • Hi There,

You might try CUE 1 (full disclosure--I am the developer :)

It is available for Android or IOS. It is only $2.99 (US dollars). It doesn't have as many features as the aRFR/iRFR, but if you are on a budget this might be a good app to take a look at. I would say that the major drawback is that CUE 1 currently does not support RECEIVING any information from your console. It can only SEND commands. However, if you just need an app with some basic functionality then CUE 1 can be quite helpful. At the very least, it might save you a few trips back at forth to your lighting console. :)

Also, you mentioned that you had tried "1cue"? Did you mean CUE 1? If you did try CUE 1 and had trouble getting it to work, please let me know. I would be happy assist you in getting it up and running.
