Hi,
We have a show opening on Thursday this week and I, the lighting designer, was working on calibrating scrollers. The scrollers in question are Apollo Smart Color Pro 10's with a mystery string I created a custom scroller wheel for. The Pro 10s are attached to pars that are twofered into the same circuit (no option to individually circuit them) however the scrollers are addressed individually. The first two channels I calibrated, the pairs of scrollers were similar in their errors and adjusting one fixed the other. However, when I got to the third set of scrollers, they were different degrees of bad. I started by calibrating one to be good with both patched into the same channel. I then patched the one I didn't calibrate into a new channel and calibrated that. I then moved that channel in patch back to the original channel (the one containing the other scroller and dimmer). Didn't work.
So basically I'm going to ask two things. The first thing is is this simply a mechanical issue with the scroller. It could very easily be a mechanical issue because the other two worked fine. The second this is if I have two scrollers patched into the same channel, is there a way to calibrate them individually without using color pallets or making each scroller its own separate channel as I saw in some other posts.
Thanks
DJ
