Hello all,
So I am a new TD at a brand new Venue. Which is nice but also...well..new so you know. Lots of bugs and backwards ass things done.
I am a tried and true Audio guy. NOT a lighting guy and have been learning a lot the last few weeks on our very nice ETC rigging and Lighting setup. But I only know my way around things a bit.
We have an Ion Console and right now I am getting all of the LED fixtures to work right. I was not here for the initial install in the fall. We have a large bank of D40s wired that I didn't setup and they work great.
I spent all week figuring out Gateways and such to get the D60s wired and hooked up and i can get them to turn on. However my problem now is power.
I have them plugged into relays. They are configured to 'switched'. I had them at 'always on' but in order to use our touch panel presets they need to be switched. I am trying to make a preset so the college folks can easily turn on the lights to practice on stage without me or other full time tech people being there. Now the D40s that were setup before me can be recorded totally fine. So I am trying to copy them.
Which is where im stuck.
Everything is the same except for 1 small detail i can't figure out. On the Live Table on my Ion. I can look at channel 181 which powers the D40s. The number is bright white, not dull gray, and on the right side of the bottom part that is blue there is a very tiny white letter P. Far as i can tell, however this channel is configured, it leaves the relay on because even when the LEDs are off, the fixture stays on.
I looked through the patching on that channel in hopes to duplicate it. But there is nothing different in attributes or curves or anything.
I hope someone knows what I am talking about! I'll upload a photo.
