Using Ion with MA system

Hello,

 

In a few weeks I will be doing an event in a venue that is MA2 infrastructure (MA Net) but I wanted to use an EOS desk for speed as it is only a one day event.

 

Has anyone had experience using an EOS desk with an MA network with MA nodes using ACN? Just wondering if it is possible and reliable to save having to setup ETC nodes.

    Probably a little late but you're right you can't output directly to the NPUs as they all run on MAnet; however you can input sACN into an MA2 and then the desk can output MAnet; it is not super simple, but if the house guys know how to set up the Network Protocols on their MA2 then it shouldn't take too long.

    If they have MA Nodes then you should be fine because MA nodes can accept sACN and Artnet.

    (For your info, sACN is only output/input from Port 1 on an MA2). Hope this helps...
