Intensity Adjustments

I know the [+%] and [-%] keys are not on Ion, but is there some way to achieve the same outcome (a softkey i can't find, a good macro to write, etc).  If not, will this function exist in future versions?

Also, I am not having the [/] key act the way the manual says it should.  Could someone explain they they do (or are supposed to do)?

Parents
  • The % keys are rapidly becoming an FAQ...

Hit the [+] button twice to get +%, [-] button twice for -%.

What about the [/] key seems odd?

  • The way i read it, the [/] key should scale up and down (n)%.  So, if I am starting with a channel at 50% and I am scaling 30% I expect to see the scale up to go to 65 and the scaled down go to 35.  What I am actually seeing is a scale up to 65 and a scale down to 15.

I am sure the answer is a obvious as the last one, but I am getting psyched out by this thing...

  • Scaling works as a simple multiplier.

    [1][At][6][5][Enter] - channel 1 intensity at 65

    [1][At][/][3][0] - channel 1 intensity at 20 (65 x 30%)

    [1][At][/][1][3][0] - channel 1 intensity at 85 (65 x 130%)

I can see how the text in the manual might be misleading, especially for scaling down. Perhaps it should read "down to 30% of their current values". It is easy to assume it means "down by 30%".

From Page 106 of the 1.4.1 manual (Setting Intensities)

     • [5] [thru] [8] [At] [/] [3] [Enter] - scales the intensities of the selected channels in the list down
    30% of their current values.
    • [1] [thru] [4] [At] [/] [1] [3] [0] [Enter] - scales the intensities of the selected channels in the
list up 30% of their current values. If channels 1 through 4 were at 40% intensity, this would
scale them up by 30% to a value of 52.
