Etc Nomad's fixture library

Hi! I've been through a few messages here & on the ControlBooth, but still haven't found an answer. When I go to the patch, set a channel's number & try to choose fixture type I see a blank manufacture fixture's list. I've tried to re-instal Etc Nomad, then downloaded the last version of library separately & installed it. In the Settings -> General there is an infromation about succesful installation of latest version of the library. But there is still no chance to find any fixture template.

P.S. There is Win 10 x86 OS.

Thank you for support!

  • two possible issues:

when you click type, by default the software shows your current favorites hich are the fixture types you already have in your showfile. when you're patching the very first fixture in a new showfile there are no favorites and it looks empty. you can e.g. use the Search button at the bottom left-ish corner of the CIA. sorry if that was a kinda obvious answer.

the other thing is: the fixture library installs user-dependent, so if you install nomad as (e.g.) admin and then change the windows user account to use nomad, you will see no library. the solution for that would be exactly what you did by updating with a library update through Setting > General.

maybe your PC thinks it's a console that's why the library ends up in the wrong spot. can you search for the file release_fix.dat on your harddisk? is it somewhere and if so, where?
