Element Upgrade from v2.2 to v2.5; What will happen to my configuration?

The only thing you have to do before you update is launch the element software and press Shift-Update to safe potential changes to the hard disk. Now it's safe to update.
It's never a bad idea however to have notes somewhere how your element is configured. In the shell, click settings and take pictures of everything you see. In case you have to send your console to repair and get a loaner you know how to configure it.

PS. In 2.3 all the hotkeys changes, so if you use xkeys or similar, you need to change their commands too.
