I am doing on these days with my brand new ETC Nomad plus a capacitive 10 point touch screen as controller.
Indeed I am very happy with it... but I do not stop wondering why not there is just a digital WHEEL as it is in the physical console.
There is wheels/encoders for the fixtures but not just a separate wheel.
For example if I am activating an step based intensity channel effect and I want to modify "by hand" the rate. I can not find the way.
Even not with a macro. I have to call the effect or effects and give several times rate values everytime I want to change it.
Another issue. Several faders at once. Not possible at all.
Another very very very interesting alive tool would be to able the possibility of sliding one or more than one finger across the screen(with one magic sheet opened)
activating or deactivating "buttons" for instants...but not just capturing...
I already meet people who do with open programming platforms plus touchscreens and well...they spend a lot of time at home as you could do with your EOS or COBALT or whatever platform and the results are very impresive...
