Lights not blacking out

I have an ETC Element for the high school I work at. The shows have run smoothly during rehearsal, but of course on the first show night we have two issues.

 

1. The cue list is no longer being highlighted so that you can clearly see what cue you are on.

 

2. Each blackout doesn't actually go black. The LEDs are still on but dimmed, but the faders all read zero. We've been using the blackout grandmaster for the cued blackouts so that it is truly black until we can figure out a solution.

 

I have no idea what is going on. Help!

    The first one should be simple: you're looking at the cue list display, but you want to look at a tab called "2 PSD", that's the one that follows.

    For the second we need more info. Let's ignore the fader's for now, but let's rather look at the display and the stage. There are two basic scenarios:
    A: look at Tab "1 Live". What you see on stage matches what you see on the display, although it's not what you expect to see.
    B: look at Tab "1 Live". What you see on screen is what you expect but real live aka the stage is different.

    Tell us if it's either A or B and we'll take it from there.

    I'm also stuck with this problem right now. One channel/light in a submaster won't go out. I have an element 2.0.1. Did you figure it out? Thanks!

    Suggest you answer the question Ueili asked the other person as we do need more info to help you. There are lots of reasons it might stay on.

    So what does the Live tab show for the channel thats stuck on, when it should be off, including any little letters that might be showing on the tombstone and the colour of the writing on the tombstone.

    Also if you enter the channel number and then open tab 29 About it shows the source of the intensity data being sent to the fixture, which might be coming from somewhere you are not expecting.
