Visualizer software free downloads... Also, Could VectorWoeks be used to build a visualizer?

The reason why you don't find many answers here is probably because most of the configuration happens on the visualizer side. For Eos it doesn't matter if it's a visualizer or a real rig. Usually output happens through sACN (aka e1.31) or ArtNet.

I'm not a vector works expert, but I don't think it does Live visualization. There are programs specialized in that like Capture, ESP Vision, Realizzer, LightConverse.

ESP plugs into VectorWorks, Capture can very easily import dawg files and is very affordable.
I doubt you'll find many free downloads for a vizualizer, since it is quite a bit of special software.

Capture has a free student version with some limitations according universes and fixtures.

I've been using Capture for some time now. I highly recommend it.

Thanks, ueliriegg. I believe that 2017 Vectorworks had added a visualizer. I will contact them about that. My issue with the rest is expense. I'm operating on no budget for it at this time.

I looked at Capture this morning, Johannes. I'll look into the student version.

I am hoping I could build a visualizer in Vectorworks, though I am a nooby at that. I have time for it though. I would love to see my lights live when I am programming at home. It would also be great for developing the effects I wish to reproduce on stage.

Afaik the vektorworks "visualizer" (aka renderworks) does only render  static states and no realtime stuff. For the realtime viz they partner with ESP.

You won't be able to "build" a VI's into VectorWorks unless u are a software developer and get the relevant interfaces from VectorWorks, which is extremely unlikely.
