There are several ways, but I'd recommend:
Open the showfile you want to base your file off of (Browser -> File -> Open)
Save a separate copy that you're going to work from (this is your "new" show) (Browser -> File -> Save As)
In this new version of the file, delete the things that you don't need anymore. You can use Browser->Clear-> Record Targets to choose things, or manually delete them. Save again so you have the desired information in place.
Option 2 is to make a new show file (File -> New) (CAUTION- you need to make sure you saved your current show with File-> Save or File -> Save As. Doing file new will get rid of any unsaved data (i.e., any changes to your current open showfile) and you can't undo this action). Then do a merge (File -> Merge) of your desired information.
