Hello,

EOS is the control desk I would like to show to Customers during show we are preparing. MA is the console where for now all the show is programmed and it should be played back from MA.

Here is the question how trigger (send some command) from EOS to MA to start (execute) certain parts of a show on MA.

What is the best way? MIDI? Network - what protocol?. What are the limitations?

With Kind regards,

Adam

  • The best way is probably using MIDI Show Control from a Net3 Show Control Gateway on the Eos network feeding MIDI to the MA console.

It is possible that you could use DMX/Network triggers as well - may be worth looking in the MA documentation. Eos can provide, on the network, Net2 (EDMX), Net3 (ACN-powered), or Art-Net, which is probably the most likely to be supported by the MA.
